01.01.10 - Bass Strait Crossing - Kiteboarding World Record

At 7am the team left Cape Grim, on Tasmania's northwest tip and in 12 long hours they covered approximately 270 km of rough swell, landing in Apollo Bay on Victoria's southwest coast. On arrival, family, friends, the entire town and a media frenzy greeted them. The event took 6 months of planning and training with the boys conditioning themselves in some of the biggest waves seen kited.
