20.01.10 - Surfboards - Signature models, fish, mini mals

Katani have a large range of surfboards catering from beginner to advanced. We stock JS Surfboards - which are ridden by top pro surfers Parko, Occy and Jordy Smith. Plus we have Christiaan Bradley Surfboards who supplies half of the top 45 surfers in the world! We also get our own brand of boards made in Torquay by well known shaper Darren Dickson in the Stonker factory.

The Katani boards are aimed at the beginners and intermediates, whilst the JS and Bradley's are suitable for advanced surfers.

Here is our guide on what you should be riding:

• NEW TO SURFING: a mini mal is the board for you! Due to their size these boards are easy to paddle and stable to get up on.
• ONLY SURF SMALL SUMMER WAVES: a Fish or Biki is the answer. These boards are much wider and thicker than a normal shortboard so they get up and going on the waves much quicker.
• SURFING EVERY FEW WEEKS: A JS Jordy model or Bradley devil. These boards have a little more foam in them which is great for paddling but they are still performance boards. Check out the Jordy video below.
• SURFING EVERY WEEK: You probably don't need our advice! We have some killer performance boards and pro signature models.
